My Winter Car: car won't start — what should I check?

Check spark plug tightness, battery charge, and fuel level. Loose or worn parts can prevent starting.

Reset the player position values in savefile.txt to a safe location, then save and reload.

My Winter Car allows for complex mechanical failures. Here is how to fix the most common "soft-locks" and annoyances.

If your Rivett cranks but won't catch, or clicks without cranking, check these values in the editor:

SparkPlugs: Ensure they are tightened. Loose plugs cause misfires or no-start conditions.
BatteryCharge: Set this to 1.0 (100%). Cold weather drains batteries faster in MWC.
FuelLevel: Make sure the tank isn't empty. Unlike MSC, fuel systems can leak if fittings are loose.

Beta physics can sometimes clip you through the ground.

Open savefile.txt in the editor.
Search for PlayerTransform coordinates.
Reset values to safe shop coordinates (e.g., 0, 2, 0 - Note: verify exact coordinates if possible, or reset to 0/safe height).
Save and reload.

Life in the north is expensive. If you are stuck with no fuel or parts money:

Edit PlayerMoney.
Recommendation: Don't give yourself infinite money (e.g., 9999999) as it ruins the survival challenge. Try adding 2000-5000 MK to get back on your feet.

If you died on Permadeath mode:

Find the PlayerDied boolean.
Set it to false.
Reset PlayerHealth / PlayerThirst / PlayerHunger to safe levels (0 for needs, 100 for health).
